Summary
Results are presented of tests carried out in Southern Italy on cooling of stored grain. A comparison is made between ventilated storage with the use of insecticides and refrigerated storage. Refrigerated storage was found to be cheaper and had advantages in reduction in metabolism of the grain and insect activity.
