MIXTURES OF NON-AZEOTROPIC REFRIGERANTS ARE INTERESTING ALTERNATIVES FOR SOLVING THE CURRENT CFC ISSUE. THEIR USE IN SMALL REFRIGERATORS CAN RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT ENERGY SAVINGS, ESPECIALLY IF THERE IS A LARGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE BOILING POINTS OF THE REFRIGERANTS. THE ARTICLE GIVES DIFFERENT CIRCUIT CONFIGURATIONS FOR 2-TEMPERATURE REFRIGERATORS AND FOR FREEZERS, AS WELL AS THE RESULTS OF EXPERIMENTS.
