Study on a heat pump applied to a train air-conditioning system.

Author(s) : ZHANG D. G., GAO X., WU H. X.

Summary

Because the train needs to transit several climate zones, the air-conditioning loads on the train change acutely and there is the alternation phenomena of cold- and heat-load. Nowadays, domestic air conditioning on trains mostly adopts unitary air conditioners. Although it can meet the demand of loads of winter and summer, there are a lot of questions, for example, energy consumption is very high, doesn't meet the demands of transition seasons, etc. In view of the characteristics of train air conditioning, the authors advanced that a vapour-compression heat-pump system should be applied on the train air-conditioning system, and analysed it's feasibility and economy.
