Summary

In order to improve the energy efficiency of computer room air conditioners, this paper proposed an air conditioner with separate type heat pipe and evaporative cooling, taking a computer room of Urumchi as the object, the transient simulation of the system is carried out based on the mathematical model. The annual dynamical performance is compared with the conventional computer room air-conditioning system, which showed that the composite air-conditioning system had better energy efficiency, whose power consumption reduced 37.48%, and COP increased 37.24%; Furthermore, because of the operation of heat pipe mode, the running time of the vapor compression cooling mode and the starting number of the compressor decreased 39.60% and 53.76% respectively, which extended the life of the compressor.
