Subcooling system on multiple packaged air conditioner by adding external cold heat: a proposal of cooling capacity estimation method for onsite performance verification of inverter-drive packaged air conditioner.

Author(s) : MAN'O T., TANINO M., ISHII S., et al.

Summary

The authors developed the subcooling system on multiple packaged air conditioners (PACs). This system saves the energy consumption by adding the external cold heat into refrigeration cycle through an additional heat exchanger. In this study, as an application of refrigeration cycle behaviours with such the subcooling system, we propose an estimation method of cooling capacity, in order to realize the onsite performance verification conveniently without flow rate data of air and refrigerant, on inverter-driven PACs. And then, the possibility of proposed estimation method is evaluated.
