Summary

DESIGN OF A SUPER ENERGY CONSERVING BUILDING. MANY ENERGY SAVING TECHNIQUES WERE ADOPTED. HEATING AND COOLING LOADS, ENERGY CONSUMPTION, AND COST EFFECTIVENESS WERE CALCULATED AND INVESTIGATED. A DOUBLE SKIN WITH SOUTH FACING ORIENTATION WAS SELECTED AS A MAJOR ENERGY SAVING TECHNIQUE. THE THERMAL LOADS IN A BUILDING WITH AND WITHOUT A DOUBLE SKIN WERE INVESTIGATED, BOTH FOR THE PERIMETER ZONES AND THE BUILDING AS A WHOLE.
