Summary
The article deals with a superconducting generator with rotating field windings. It allows: enhancement of its efficiency by 0.5 to 1.0%; decrease of its size and weight by 50%; and increase of its power transfer limit by 20%; increase of manufacturing limit of large capacity generators by two times. Finally, a reliable cooling system is demonstrated to be applied for the superconducting generators.
