Surface tension of refrigeration oils.

Author(s) : BURKHARDT J., HAHNE E.

Summary

The primary function of refrigeration oils is to minimize friction and to prevent wear in the compressor. In this paper surface tension measurements with four oils are reported. Further, using the present results as well as those of other authors, a correlation is proposed which gives a relation between surface tension and viscosity.
