SURVEYS ON MICROCLIMATES ARE OFTEN CARRIED OUT TO TEST AIR CONDITIONING PLANT OR TO GUARANTEE THAT COMFORT CONDITIONS EXIST IN PREMISES. THIS RESEARCH, WHICH HAS LED TO THE STANDARDS ISO 7726 AND 7730, TO THE STANDARD ASHRAE 55-81 AND TO THE DRAFT STANDARD 55-81R, CONCERNS A SERIES OF PROBLEMS, OFTEN DUE TO DEFICIENCIES AND INSUFFICIENCIES IN THE STANDARDS THEMSELVES. IN THIS ARTICLE, THE STANDARDS ARE CRITICALLY ANALYZED, THE PROBLEMS WHICH HAVE NOT BEEN SOLVED BY STANDARDS ARE DISCUSSED AND SOLUTIONS ARE PROPOSED.
