T-METHOD DUCT DESIGN. 3. SIMULATION.

Summary

THE PAPER INTRODUCES A NEW METHOD FOR SIMULATING HVAC DUCT SYS TEMS, CALLED T-METHOD. THE DESIRABILITY OF SIMULATION APPEARS IN MANY HVAC PROBLEMS, SUCH AS DETERMINING SYSTEM OPERATING EFFICIENCY, SYSTEM RETROFITTING, NUCLEAR PLANT NORMAL/EMERGENCY CONDITIONS, FIRE/SMOKE CONTROL SYSTEMS, FANS OPERATING IN PARALLEL, PRESSURE BALANCING AFTER SYSTEM MODIFICATION, AND NOISE GENERATED BY DAMPERS. T-METHOD IS CAPABLE OF SIMULATING THESE PROBLEMS. THE PAPER INCLUDES PROBLEM DEFINITION, A THEORETICAL APPROACH, CALCULATION PROCEDURES, AND MANY EXAMPLES.
