Technical aspects on ammonia screw compressor chiller units for district cooling.
Author(s) : WEISTER R.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The article describes requirements for the screw compressor, condenser and evaporator. The successful implementation of the technology used in heavy industrial mine cooling, and the general technical knowledge available about associated components should one day give ammonia as refrigerant and screw compressor chiller units with plate heat exchangers the same outstanding position in air conditioning and district cooling as they have today in industrial refrigeration.
