THE AUTHORS DEAL WITH HIGH CAPACITY HEAT PUMPS. THEY DESCRIBE A PROJECT PROVIDING A FLEXIBLE ECONOMICAL CONTROL, DEPENDING ON SEASONAL VARIATIONS AND HEATING LOADS, ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRODUCTION OF HOT WATER. THEY STUDY THE PROBLEM OF THE SELECTION OF WORKING FLUIDS AND DOUBLE CASCADE DESIGNS, GIVING THE PROSPECTIVE APPLICATION OF NEW TYPES OF HEAT EXCHANGERS AND SPECIALISED COMPRESSION UNITS.
