Summary
The work presents an evaluation of the efficiency of heat transformer cycles. In conclusion the result of the economic comparison is highly dependent on the evaluation method chosen. Lithium bromide absorption machines are compared in general and with other machines (conventional mechanical compression, vapour compression) and the payback periods are indicated according to several parameters (kilowatthour cost, fuel price level, size of the installation, temperature levels, etc).
