GIVES THE ASSESSMENT CRITERIA AND RESULTS FOR TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC EVALUATION OF THE PERFORMANCE OF AN ABSORPTION CHILLER USING A SOLAR POND. COMPARES THE RESULTS FOR KUWAIT'S ENVIRONMENTAL DATA AND COSTS, WITH 3 ALTERNATIVE COOLING SYSTEMS: 1) SOLAR THERMAL COLLECTOR ABSORPTION COOLING SYSTEM ; 2) SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC COOLING SYSTEM ; AND 3) A STANDARD VAPOUR COMPRESSION COOLING SYSTEM.
