Summary
The new Old Mutual Centre in Durban is a 31-storey office block with a unique multi-facetted shape similar to Cape Town's castle. Its profile resulted in 20 different zones per floor as well as ground floor shops and three podium office levels: a total air-conditioned area of more or less 31 300 m2. A complete variable-volume-control system was considered the best option.
