Summary
Common methods for easing pain are by analgesics or cutting the nerves, with all the well known drawbacks. A new method for easing pain is low-temperature therapy. This method can hinder message transfer by nerves without damaging their functions. Besides cryosurgery, low-temperature therapy with Chinese traditional medicine to ease pain can be combined. The authors think that low-temperature therapy has broad application prospects analgesia. Two experiments are reported.
