Thailand looks beyond border.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Thailand is quietly emerging as a major producer in the air-conditioning industry. The country held its first exhibition, Bangkok RHVAC '98, in late September to showcase the industry that has developed in the last 30 years. There are now more than 100 factories in the Bangkok area alone that produce air conditioners, mainly for export to other Southeast Asian nations, Japan, Australia and the Middle East. The article reports on several companies.
