Summary

The paper shows the results of theoretical analysis on the effect of heat exchange during the throttling process on the real working parameters of the capillary tube-suction line heat exchanger. The constructional solutions of the heat exchangers used in household refrigerators and freezers are presented. The influence of the heat exchange as well as the capillary tube-suction line heat exchanger geometry on the possibility of critical flow occurrence, formation of the metastable flow phenomenon and on acoustics of the capillary tube working, is discussed.
