THROUGHOUT THE WORLD, AS WELL AS IN YUGOSLAVIA, MANY ACTIVITIES ARE BEING UNDERTAKEN TO END FAMINE IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES, TO RAISE THESTANDARD OF LIVING, TO USE EFFICIENT MEASURES TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT AND WORK SPACES AND TO ACHIEVE CONDITIONS FOR THE MORE SUCCESSFUL DEVELOPMENT AND POSITIVE APPLICATION OF SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS, ONE OF WHICH IS THE APPLICATION OF REFRIGERATION TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF IMPROVING MANKIND'S PROGRESS. WITH REGARD TO COLD STORAGEO W ZEALAND WAS IN FIRST PLACE WITH 1,000 M3 PER 1,000 INHABITANTS, FRANCE WAS SECOND WITH 235 M3 AND YUGOSLAVIA STOOD THIRD WITH 168 M3.
