Summary

THE USE OF WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE ABSORPTION MACHINES IS MORE ECONOMIC AT RATHER LOW TEMPERATURES. THE OPERATION OF THE MACHINE CAN BE IMPROVED BY USING CASCADE PROCESSES IN COMBINED ABSORBER-EVAPORATOR AND GENERATOR-CONDENSER. THE MANUFACTURE OF MACHINES WITH NEW THERMODYNAMIC CYCLES DECREASES IRREVERSIBLE LOSSES, INCREASES THE DEGASING ZONE, REDUCES SPECIFIC HEAT LOADS AND INCREASES THE TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC PERFORMANCES OF MACHINES.
