The applications of shallow layer water-source heat pump and the review in Wuhan.

Author(s) : LI Y.

Summary

According to the survey and test in the design and operation of shallow-layer water-source heat pump system in Wuhan, the authors of this paper obtained the following findings: the efficiency can be increased by 45.65% when the shallow layer water-source heat pump is used to supply cooling, and the energy conservation rate reaches 72.56% when the same type pump being used for heating, but the operational cost of water-source pump system is approximately 18.6 yuan(RMB)/(m2.a), which is by far lower than the mean cost value 51.62 yuan(RMB)/(m2.a) for the energy consumption of central air conditioning in Wuhan. The initial investment in the water-source heat pump system may save the most, and in this article the assessment method is also discussed for the project in employing underground water-source heat pump unit.
