Summary

The snow making machines of fan (air blower) and snow-gun typeS have been in use at skiing facilities traditionally in order to make snow or supplement snowfall. However due to the influences of the global warming effect, these machines cannot perform with sufficient capacity during the winter season. Under these circumstances, the "Ice maker type snow machines" have started to attract more attention because of their stable performances regardless of the weather conditions. The ice maker type snow machines have plate ice types and flake ice types in their different ice making methods. These ice machines are described here.
