Summary

THE PROJECT CONSISTS OF 60 DWELLINGS FORMING 10 CLUSTERS OF 6 DWELLINGS EACH. A CENTRALLY INSTALLED GASMOTOR-GENERATOR INSTALLATION OF APPROX 45 KILOW SUPPLIES 4 OUT OF THE 10 CLUSTERS WITH WASTE HEAT AND THE REMAINING 6 WITH ELECTRICITY TO DRIVE INDIVIDUAL HEAT PUMPS. ALL CLUSTERS ARE PROVIDED WITH BACK-UP CENTRAL HEATING. VIA ADDITIONAL INSULATION MEASURES THE HEAT LOSSES ARE REDUCED TO 2/3 OF THE ACTUAL LEVEL IN THE NETHERLANDS. THE COMBINATION OF TOTAL ENERGY AND ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN HEAT PUMPS BRINGS AN ADDITIONAL SAVING OF 40% AS COMPARED TO CENTRAL HEATING OF EACH INDIVIDUAL CLUSTER.
