GAS HEAT PUMPS FOR THE HEATING OF BUILDINGS.

GAS HEAT PUMPS FOR THE HEATING OF BUILDINGS./ POMPES A CHALEUR A GAZ POUR LE CHAUFFAGE DE BATIMENTS.

Author(s) : BRINGMANN A.

Type of article: Article

Summary

THE PARTICULAR ADVANTAGE OF HEAT PUMPS OPERATING WITH PRIMARY ENERGY IS THAT THE HOT GASES OF THE ENGINE, THE COOLING WATER AND ALSO THE THERMAL CONTENT OF THE LUBRICATING OIL CAN BE UTILIZED ADDITIONALLY TO HEAT THE WATER TO EVEN HIGHER TEMPERATURES. IN CONTRAST TO AN ELECTRIC DRIVE, A FURTHER GAIN IS REALIZED FROM THE PRIMARY ENERGY THAT WOULD OTHERWISE BE LOST IN THE COOLING TOWERS, TRANSFORMERS AND ELECTRIC CABLES WHEN POWER IS GENERATED AT A THERMAL POWER STATION.
