Summary
The IDF World Dairy Summit 2003, held in Bruges, Belgium, provided an opportunity to celebrate the 100th anniversary of IDF. It also enabled 6 lectures on a variety of dairy subjects to be given. This publication contains: 1. The proceedings of the Centenary Session: 3 speakers were asked to look into the future for the celebration of IDF's 100th Birthday and dealt respectively with farm policy in Europe, dairy technology and dairy business. 2. The proceedings of the Policy, Economics and Marketing Conference: (R)evolution in the dairy industry; the Belgian dairy industry; (R)evolution in dairy farming; future dairy farmer role in the supply chain; dancing at the cross road: a sociological and psycho-sexual perspective on the Irish milk market; regulatory and trade policies: a new world order?; revolutions in dairy consumptions.
