THE DEGREES OF FREEDOM OF ABSORPTION SYSTEMS.

Author(s) : FELLI M., GALLI G.

Summary

THE AUTHORS CONSIDER THE CONDITIONS TO BE MET BY THERMODYNAMIC VARIABLES IN AN ABSORPTION MACHINE: CONDITIONS RESULTING FROM THERMODYNAMIC LAWS AND FROM EQUAL PRESSURES IN THE CONDENSER AND THE GENERATOR AND IN THE EVAPORATOR AND THE ABSORBER. ONLY TWO OF THESE FOUR CONDITIONS ARE INDEPENDENT. IN ADDITION, THE ACCURACY OF STIERLIN'S APPROXIMATED EQUATION IS GENERALLY INSUFFICIENT FOR EVALUATING THE TEMPERATURES OF THE PROCESS.
