Summary
The paper deals with a "high power multifunctional natural refrigerant CO2 heat pump water heater" not only capable of supplying hot water, but also capable of being used for space heating. Equipping its refrigeration cycle with a new high heating capacity compressor made it possible to make hot water with 9 kW (maximum) of heating power for the storage tank, in which the problems of a lack of hot water in case of emergency could be diminished. As regards space heating, a "direct heating method" was developed and this enabled underfloor heating and bathroom heating to be achieved.
