The development of night deliveries in urban areas of temperature-controlled foodstuff.

Number: 0202

Author(s) : DEVIN E., ZAID I.

Summary

Certibruit is an association of companies, local authorities and equipment manufacturers that is developing a sustainable urban logistics scheme. The postponement of deliveries at different times makes it possible to limit the flow of goods in the city during periods of congestion. The counterpart is to put in place measures to limit noise pollution during night deliveries. In the field of refrigerated transport of food products, transport vehicles equipped with refrigeration units require special treatment in order to envisage night-time deliveries. This article reviews the approach taken by Certibruit more than 10 years ago (requirements applicable to refrigerated transport vehicles, good practices....) and the cooperation with the city of Paris to supply the city's food shops while limiting the negative externalities of goods transport.)
