Summary

THE E ROSETTE FORMATING (ERF) CELL OF PERIPHERAL BLOOD LYMPHOCYTES FROM 20 NORMAL PERSONS AND FROM 47 PATIENTS WITH VARIOUS CANCERS WAS COUNTED BEFORE AND AFTER CRYOPRESERVATION AND INCUBATION IN ORDER TO EVALUATE THE PATIENT'S CELLULAR IMMUNITY. THE RESULTS SHOWED: 1) THE ERF CELL OF CANCER PATIENTS WAS MUCH LOWER THAN THAT OF NORMAL PATIENTS ; 2) THE ERF CELL OF FROZEN-THAWED LYMPHOCYTES WAS DECREASED IN BOTH GROUPS ; AND 3) THE ERF CELL OF RECOVERING CELLS CULTURED FOR 9 HOURS COULD BE RESTORED AGAIN IN NORMAL GROUP.
