Author(s) : JERMINI M., MARTINONI A., JELMINI G., CESCHI M.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Compared to just after harvest, the nitrate content of lettuce increases after 24-48 hours cold storage. The average weight of lettuce cores varies too, but independently of the nitrate content. Culture techniques to reduce this contamination rate are being sought.
