Summary

A DYNAMIC LATENT HEAT STORAGE SYSTEM NAMED GALISOL, AND BASED ON DIRECT CONTACT BETWEEN LATENT HEAT STORAGE MATERIALS AND LIGHTLY BOILING LIQUIDS HAS BEEN DEVELOPED. IN COMPARISON WITH THE EARLIER DEVELOPED STATIC METHOD, THE NEWER SYSTEM POSSESSES A NUMBER OF DISTINCTIVE OPERATING CHARACTERISTICS WITH PROSPECTIVE SPECIALIZED APPLICATIONS. TO BETTER DESCRIBE THESE CHARACTERISTICS, A COMPARISON IS MADE WITH A COUNTERPART STATIC SYSTEM NAMED STL. THE COMPARISON COMPRISES THE KINETICS OF HEAT TRANSFER, HEAT TRANSFER RATES, STORAGE CAPACITY AND DIFFERENCES IN OPERATING PROCEDURES.
