Summary
TRANSIENT VARIATION TEMPERATURES OF THE FLUID AND THE CAPSULE IN THE CAPSULE BED WAS MEASURED AND THE PERFORMANCE AS A THERMAL ENERGY STORAGE (TES) RESERVOIR WAS CLARIFIED IN DETAIL. THE SPHERICAL CAPSULE TYPE LATENT HEAT TES RESERVOIR HAS A LOT OF ADVANTAGES, EG HIGH HEAT TRANSFER RATE AND EASY TO INSTALL INTO EXISTING RESERVOIRS. THE COMPUTER SIMULATION WAS ALSO PERFORMED AND ITS RESULTS WERE COMPARED WITH EXPERIMENTAL DATA.
