FROM CLASSICAL REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT THE AUTHORS SHOW WHAT KIND OF MODIFICATIONS FOR EACH COMPONENT MUST BE DONE TO REACH CONDENSING TEMPERATURE UP TO 393 K (120 DEG C) (HOT SOURCE) AND EVAPORATING TEMPERATURES UP TO 343 K (70 DEG C) (COLD SOURCE). THEY ANALYZED SUCCESSIVELY DIFFICULTIES ENCOUNTERED WITH THE CHOICE OF REFRIGERANTS AND LUBRICANTS, COMPRESSORS, EXPANSION VALVES, HEAT EXCHANGERS AND LOOP CONCEPTION AND CONCLUDE THAT TECHNICAL PROBLEMS ARE NOW CLEARED.
