Author(s) : KRAKOW K. I., LIN S.

Summary

A NUMERICAL MODEL TO DETERMINE THE STEADY-STATE PERFORMANCE OF HEAT PUMPS FOR SPECIFIED SOURCE AND SINK CONDITIONS AND SPECIFIED COMPONENT SIZES HAS BEEN DEVELOPED. THE MODEL HAS BEEN FORMULATED TO SIMULATE HEAT PUMPS HAVING 4 DIFFERENT MEANS OF REFRIGERANT FLOW CONTROL AND CAPACITY CONTROL: EXPANSION VALVES RESPONDING TO THE AMOUNT OF SUPERHEAT, CAPILLARY TUBES, EXPANSION VALVES RESPONDING TO THE EVAPORATION PRESSURE, AND LIMITED REFRIGERANT CHARGE.
