The influence of tilt on natural convection in the elbow thermosyphon.
Author(s) : LOCK G. S. H., LADOON D.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The main purpose of the study was to determine the effect of tilting an initially-vertical cooled section. The results show that forward, or positive, tilts produce very little effect on the heat transfer rate while backward, or negative, tilts produced a dramatic reduction within the first 20 degrees.
