Summary
Japanese production fell from the beginning of 1992 in terms of numbers of units, although the Yen value was much the same. Total items fell from 3.66 million to 3.11. The only products to increase were compressors and vending machines, by 15 and 8% respectively. Room air-conditionners have fallen from a peak of 8.7 million units to 6.3, and larger packaged units from 1.83 million to 1.25. Quantities and values are given for 24 products. A.R.T.
