In 1995 (October 1994-September 1995), while most of Japan's industries failed to get out of the recession for several years, the refrigeration and air conditioning industry enjoyed a significant recovery in all fields. That is, the total value of production was 3,378 billion JPY (up 13.2%), and that of shipments was 3,240 billion JPY (up 8.7%).
