Summary

For liquid helium temperatures, the main line of luminescence in pure n-type indium-antimony crystals and absorption spectrum in the main line range are studied. It is found that the main emission line is connected with the electron transitions from shallow donor levels to the valence band and its spectral position and shape are determined by the large-scale fluctuations of the charged impurity concentration. The non-equilibrium charge carriers are found to fill the volume with the linear sizes larger significantly the ambipolar carrier diffusion length in about two orders of the magnitude.
