Summary
Temperature dependences of the yield strength and the deforming stress sensitivity to the deformation rate of single crystals lead-tin and lead-antimony are studied in the temperature range 80-0.5 K. The parameters of the thermally activated motion of dislocations through impurity centers are found. The anomalies of plasticity observed at temperatures lower than 30 K are attributed to the inertial, or quantum-inertial at temperatures lower than 10 K, mechanism of the dislocation motion through local barriers. The method of quantitative estimation of the contributions from the inertia and quantum properties of dislocations to the observed concentration and temperature dependences of the plasticity parameters is proposed.
