Summary

With reference to the new CFC legislation, prudent estimations indicate about six to seven hundred new mechanics will be needed in the coming years. The Foundation "Stichting Koeltechnisch Onderwijs" has put a lot of effort into trying to get the younger generation interested in this field as well as encouraging companies to take on apprentices. But young people are sometimes discouraged by the irregular working-hours in this particular field and some businesses wonder if the cost of their education can be met.
