Type of article: Article
Summary
THE MOTION OF ABRIKOSOV VORTICES IN ANISOTROPIC SUPERCONDUCTORS IN THE PRESENCE OF A TRANSPORT CURRENT IS DISCUSSED. AN EXPRESSION FOR THE VISCOSITY TENSOR IS OBTAINED, AND IT IS DISCOVERED THAT THE ANISOTROPY AFFECTS DIFFERENTLY THE RELAXATION AND OHMIC LOSSES. A VORTEX IS FOUND TO MOVE IN A DIRECTION THAT IN GENERAL IS NOT AT RIGHT ANGLE TO THE TRANSPORT CURRENT. FINALLY, THE RESISTANCE IN THE VISCOUS FLUX FLOW MODE IS FOUND TO STRONGLY DEPEND ON THE MUTUAL ORIENTATION OF THE MAGNETIC FIELD AND THE ANISOTROPY AXIS.
