The Netherlands' heat pump action program.

Summary

In the year 2000, heat pumps will have to contribute to energy conservation in the Netherlands with an annual 5-10 petajoules. This is the target set by the "Action Programme for the Impletation of Heat Pump", which has been drawn up by Novem for the Ministry of Economic Affaires in the framework of their Second Memorandum on Energy Conservation. The program will focus on speeding up the actual implementation of heat pumps in domestic buildings, commercial buildings and industrial sectors, following the examples of successfull implementation in Switzerland and Sweden and others.
