Summary

Nowadays, the Cuban enterprise INPUD produces refrigerators but also other household appliances as gas stoves, ventilators and expresso coffee makers. The refrigerators have isobutane for the refrigerant cooling system and cyclopentane for the insulation foam blowing. The long-term goal is to produce between 40,000 to 100,000 refrigerators per year.
