Summary
The influence of frosting and defrosting on the operating cycles of a new refrigeration unit, which was built accordingly to Polish patent no. 185 277, is described in the article. It is shown that the influence of defrosting on the heat balance of refrigerated chambers is smaller with the new invention. Attention is also paid to the increase in the operating time coefficient of air coolers and refrigerating units that are working under frosting conditions.
