Summary

THE TEMPERATURE DEPENDENCES OF RELATIVE CHANGES IN THE SOUND VELOCITIES ALONG THE PRINCIPAL AXES OF THIS CRYSTAL ARE INVESTIGATED IN THE REGION OF THE STRUCTURAL SECOND ORDER PHASE TRANSITION AT STRUCTURAL TRANSITION TEMPERATURE = 30 K. THE ABSENCE OF APPRECIABLE SOFTENING OF THE TRANSVERSE MODULI IS INDICATIVE OF THE NONFERRODISTORTION TYPE OF THE TRANSITION. AT TEMPERATURES 27 TO24 K ANOTHER STRUCTURAL FIRST-ORDER TRANSITION WAS DETECTED.
