THE THEORETICAL INVESTIGATION FOR DETERMINING THE COEFFICIENT OF CONVECTIVE HEAT TRANSFER AT THE OUTSIDE OF THE SPIRAL TUBE.

Author(s) : YU B., YANG Y., YUE H.

Summary

THE SPIRAL TUBE WITH EXTERIOR METALLIC WIRE-SHAPED FINS IS A NEW HEAT TRANSFER TUBE, WHICH WAS INTRODUCED IN THE 1980'S. IT CAN BE APPLIED TO THE HEAT EXCHANGERS USED FOR HEATING, AIR CONDITIONING, AND REFRIGERATION. NUMEROUS EXPERIMENTS HAVE BEEN DONE IN ORDER TO DETERMINE THE COEFFICIENT OF CONVECTIVE HEAT TRANSFER OUTSIDE OF A SPIRAL TUBE. THIS PAPER EXAMINES AND DISCUSSES THE HEAT TRANSFER MECHANISM, AND DERIVES THE FORMULAE TO CALCULATE THE OUTSIDE CONVECTIVE HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT.
