Summary

THE MICROCLIMATE IN COLD STORES, INSULATED CLOTHING AND THE THERMAL COMFORT OF STORE PERSONNEL WERE INVESTIGATED. IT WAS OBSERVED THAT STORE PERSONNEL GENERALLY SUFFER FROM COLD DISCOMFORT, BUT THIS CAN BE AVOIDED BY INCREASING THE INSULATION IN GARMENTS. IT WAS FOUND THAT THERMAL SENSATIONS IN THE HANDS HAVE A SIGNIFICANT INFLUENCE UPON THE GENERAL FEELING OF BODY WARMTH.
