Summary

GLOVE PATTERNS WERE STUDIED BY A TESTING METHOD DEVELOPED BIA. THE PALM TEMPERATURE WAS MEASURED ON A SUBJECT PLACED IN A ROOM AT -20 DEG C AND THESE VALUES WERE COMPARED TO THE CORRESPONDING TIMES IN THE TEST METHOD TO A TEMPERATURE DECREASE OF 15 K INSIDE THE GLOVES. THE PROPERTIES OF GLOVES VARY ACCORDING TO CONSTITUTING MATERIALS. IT APPEARS NECESSARY TO LIST THE REQUIREMENTS FOR PROTECTION AGAINST COLD IN THE DIN 4841 STANDARD RELATING TO PROTECTIVE GLOVES.
