Summary

THE LOW TEMPERATURE HEAT CAPACITY OF THIN FILMS BOUNDED BY TWO FREE (001) SURFACES IS STUDIED BY THE METHOD OF JACOBIAN MATRICES FOR A BODY-CENTERED TETRAGONAL CRYSTAL MODEL. THE EFFECT OF CRYSTAL ANISOTROPY ON HEAT CAPACITY OF A FILM AND HEAT CAPACITY DUE TO THE INTERACTION OF ITS TWO SURFACES IS ANALYZED FOR DIFFERENT FILM THICKNESS.
