The use of microturbines for producing heat and electric energy with combustion of gas from biomass.

Author(s) : KALAN R., NOVAK P., STURM M.

Summary

The interest in technology enabling gas production using biomass has risen up since 1980 when it became clear that stocks of fossil fuels are limited. Until now, the small systems for producing electric and/or heat energy with combustion of gas from biomass have included internal combustion engines. Now there are new microturbines which give the possibility of including gas turbines in those systems. Efficiency becomes significantly higher.
